We consider it a humbling honor to welcome you to the Spirit led vision that is PHŌS CHURCH! 

We are passionate about Jesus, each other, our kids (Axel, Sia & Ziya), the Church and our community of South Park, DTLA. 

God put South Park on our hearts in December of 2017 and since moving here in March of 2018, we have witnessed firsthand massive amounts of growth in our community. Downtown has been and continues to be the fastest growing part of LA and South Park specifically, is the fastest growing part of Downtown. 

Historically in the US, the church has avoided “tough urban environments” likes this because of its difficult conditions and high financial costs, even though it is where a significant amount of the population is. Over the past several years, the Lord has increasingly given us willing hearts to joyfully fight, in and by His grace, to plant a life giving church that has strong roots in the downtown community. 

We love our city because God loves our city and we are passionate about our community because Jesus is passionate about our community. Our heart is to reach this community with the gospel and to be a church that faithfully reflects the light of Christ to those who are lost in darkness and who do not know the true light of Jesus. 

We affirm the realities that the local church is far more important to the Christian life than many Christians today perhaps realize and that local churches grow in life and vitality as they organize their lives around God’s Word.

God speaks and our heart in turn is to be a church that listens and follows. A church that reflects His love and holiness. Displaying His glory. As “a church will look like Him as it listens to Him.”

Would the Lord enable us to cultivate a community that treasures Christ together.

We are thankful for those who have gone before us and are humbled by God’s calling to plant a church here.
